Rental Conditions
Vehicles are rented solely to those clients who undertake to keep their vehicles under supervision during stopovers, either by leaving the vehicle in guarded parking areas or by watching over the vehicle personally. Our vehicles are only permitted to travel freely in EEC countries and Switzerland; a special authorisation must be obtained for all other countries.
RATES:
Rates include: INSURANCE (Third party and property damage liability – Theft and Fire – Green Card – CDW) ROAD ASSISTANCE Policy; TAX 22%; ONE GAS CYLINDER. Rates do not include: Engine lubricants – Fuel sanitary liquid and items not covered under the previous point. All prices are subject to change without notice.
RESERVATIONS:
Each reservation must be accompanied by a Deposit of up to 30% of total rental price, minimum €100; the full balance must be paid within the date written on the reservation form. Failing that, the booking will be cancelled and the deposit paid will be forfeited. Minimum reservation rental periods: 5 days for low season, 7 days for medium season, 20 days for high season. For unlimited mileage, the minimum reservation period is: 5 days for low and medium season, 15 days for high season. Weekend reservations with 500 km. included are possible only during actual delivery week. This begins on Fridays at 4 pm and expires on Mondays at 4 pm. For reservations other than in Rome, the booking Agency levies an extra charge of € 36. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours before departure time.
DEPOSIT:
A deposit of € 1500 is required on delivery.
SLEEPING BAG KITS AND SETS OF KITCHENWARE:
Kits are available (sleeping bag, pillow and pillow case, two towels) at € 30 each, and sets of kitchenware (cooking pots, cutlery, cups, plastic glasses etc.) at € 35/50 for the whole rental period.
INSURANCE: RCA:
third party insurance and property damage liability up to € 2580000.
ROAD ASSISTANCE POLICY:
service and assistance for technical failure or accident within the limits stated in the policy.
THEFT AND FIRE:
coverage for partial or the whole loss of vehicle due to theft, robbery or fire in excess of the deposit amount. CDW or CASKO: coverage for damages to the vehicle in excess of € 1200 for each event.
OPTIONAL INSURANCE: CDW or CASKO:
it is possible to reduce the deductable to € 350 for each event by adding € 12 per day (minimum € 60).
DRIVING LICENSE:
Italian Class B driving licence issued at least one year previously or International driving licence. Minimum age of driver 21.
PICKUP & DELIVERY:
At Freedom Holiday Centres or as otherwise agreed. In the case of late deliveries, clients must have authorization from Freedom Holiday in order to avoid penalty charges. For agreed pickups or deliveries taking place other than at Freedom Holiday Centres, a minimum charge of € 30 will be applicable, as well as a charge of € 2.50 per km for a minimum of € 150 in addition to the charges listed for mileage over and above the franchise stated on the contract.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
8-seater minibus, available during Freedom Holiday official hours.
CLEANING SERVICES:
Applicable only if the vehicle is unclean on delivery: € 30 if waste-water tanks are not emptied, € 50 minimum if interior of the vehicle is not clean.
FREE PARKING AREA:
Clients’ cars can be parked inside Freedom Holiday’s depot for the duration of the rental period.
MECHANICAL FAILURES & REPAIRS:
Any expenses incurred by the client which are not his responsibility will be refunded on arrival, upon producing the invoice showing the relevant parts replaced, and made out to Freedom Holiday. Tyre repairs will not be refunded (punctures, bursts, etc.)
CREDIT CARDS:
American Express, Diners Club International, Carta Si, Visa Bankamericard, Master Card and Access.
